Ramona Ann Arsenault
February 27, 1941 - May 26, 2010
Ramona Ann Arsenault, age 69, passed May 26, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Winfield, Alabama on Feb. 27, 1941, she was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend.
Ramona, better known as "Momo", enjoyed cooking, fishing, and caring for her plants and animals.
She was a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School in 1959 where she was on the Archery team and Miss Robert E. Lee in 1960. She was also Miss Camellia in 1957. She moved to Savannah, Georgia with her husband in 1973 and have since made it their home.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph G. Arsenault Jr.; her children Ramona Michelle Atkinson Hal and Jeannine Renee' Grotheer Keith; her grandchildren Erin Renee' LaRoche, Morgan Ann Grotheer, Devin Michelle Singleton and Liam Joseph Gerard Sheehan; her great-grandchild Sophie Winfield LaRoche. She was also survived by her step-mother Mea Lenahan, brothers Stuart Lenahan, Dale Lenahan and Danny Lenahan.
Visitation: 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, May 28th, 2010 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson-Memorial Chapel.
Funeral Services: 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 29th, 2010 at Hodgson-Memorial Chapel of Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors.
Burial at Greenwich Cemetery following the services. Pallbearers are Keith Grotheer, Hal Atkinson, Donald Collins, Ken Richbourg, Robert Whittington, and Jarrod Smith.
She was a strong and inspirational person who will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Remembrances should be sent to American Cancer Society.
